Last night I was riding my skateboard downtown at the park when the strangest thing took place. I couldn’t help but be overcome by nostalgia, as one of the voices belonged to a dear old friend. When I finally positioned myself so I could see who was behind me better, I was in for quite an superb shock. There were thirteen people in all, and they all had acoustic guitars. I had been many moons since I had taken the joy of a really good acoustic guitar lesson. So logically, I felt completely out of the loop. I asked them if I could join in their music party. They cheered me on like I was in last place in a marathon or something. It was the most fun I’ve had since last Thursday. That was when it was OK for me to play make believe with my cousin.

The other day I was downtown performing in the community recreation area. I bumbped into an old friend from Thailand. It must have been two generations since we shook hands.
